Obselete technology in platform of Reliance Money

I signed up as a customer with Reliance Money in September 2007. My tussle with them has started ever since then.

To start with, they misplaced my application form after realization of check. They were able to locate the application form only after I threatened to take them to consumer court for cheating. Anyways, my application was processed and I was provided with a nicely packaged kit, which is of not much use either.

Of late, I wanted to apply for the big Mundra Port SEZ IPO. I tried to apply for the IPO using the website http://www.reliancemoney.com but just could not apply for the same. After much communication, did I find the reason. The website of Reliance Money, has not been designed to consider the existence of Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0. (Reliance Money launched its services atleast 6 months after IE7 was available).

Their customer support tells that I need to downgrade my browser to Internet Explorer 6.0 in order to use their platform. Is Steve Balmer listening? He just signed an agreement with another of Anil Amani's company - Relicance Communication. To make things simple to understand, Mr. Anil Ambani is one of promoters of Reliance Capital, the holding company of Reliance Money.

Mr. Ambani, if you are reading this post, I would advise you to concentrate more on your business rather than undertake all the fancy Page 3 media attracting excercises. Please take a leaf out of your elder brother Mr. Mukesh Ambani books.

Tall claims of LG services

LG Electronics in India claims to attend to the complaints of the consumers in 24 hours. If you have a LG product then read on how helpful they are through their call center.

I purchased purchased a LG FLATRON L1730S monitor in the year 2006 ans suddenly on August 5th, 2007, the LCD panel of the monitor developed a problem. A complaint was duly lodged at their call center number - 18601809999 in India on August 6, 2007. The engineer did visit to check on the problem on August 7, 2007 after about 30hours after initially lodging the complaint. The real problem starts from here.

The service engineer filed a report stating that the LCD panel needs to be replaced and the part should be avilable in a day or two. That day or two is yet to arrive as of writing this blog. The call center executives donot even know the contact numbers of the senior management in LG and hold your breath - they are ignorant on the corporate address and telephone numbers of their office. All they know is that they have a website, that unfortunately does not give such information too .....

In this 60th year of Independence, I ask my fellow Indians, do we need to take all this crap from these so called Multinationals, whose only aim is to take out money from India and oblige their stock holders back in their country.
